Simulate your target audience. Survey them in minutes.
Describe who you want to hear from and write up to 10 questions. HumanPanel builds up to 100 AI-simulated respondents, weighted to your population, and streams every answer with its reason. Read the results by segment, the themes behind them, and a written summary, in minutes rather than weeks.

What is HumanPanel?
Surveys are one of the best ways to understand people, and one of the easiest to get wrong. A confusing question, a missing option or the wrong audience can waste weeks of fieldwork, and you often only find out after the results are in.
HumanPanel is a place to rehearse. You describe who you want to hear from and write your questions; HumanPanel builds a simulated population, has each respondent answer in their own voice, and reports the results by population segment, which we call worlds, with a written summary. Use it to pilot and explore before real fieldwork.

Use cases
Ask the questions you couldn't justify fielding
Researchers, founders, marketers, product teams and policy analysts use simulated panels to test ideas early.
Pricing and concept tests
See which segments bite at a price or a new idea before you build it.
Example: Would you switch plans for 20% off with a one-year commitment?
Message and ad testing
Compare headlines, claims and tone, and read why each one lands or doesn't.
Example: Which of these three taglines makes you most likely to learn more?
Survey pilots
Catch confusing wording and missing options while they are still cheap to fix.
Example: Run the draft once, read the reasons, fix the questions people misread.
Policy and public sentiment
Explore how different communities might react to a proposal or change.
Example: Should the city replace street parking with protected bike lanes?
New market exploration
Form hypotheses about audiences you don't know yet.
Example: How do small shop owners outside the capital pay their suppliers today?
Product feedback hypotheses
Find out which features matter to whom, and what would make people churn.
Example: Which two of these features would you miss most if they disappeared?
How it works
From question to results in four steps
No recruiting, no scheduling, no waiting for fieldwork. Just your questions and a panel built for them.
1
Write your survey
Describe who you want to hear from and add up to 10 questions: single or multiple choice, yes/no, true/false or free text.
2
HumanPanel designs the worlds
A world is a setting your respondents live in, such as a city center, a farming district or a factory town, each with its own situation and mix of people. HumanPanel designs them from your target population.
3
Simulated people answer
Every respondent gets a background, beliefs and blind spots, then answers each question with a reason. Watch it happen live.
4
Read the results
Results overall and by world, recurring themes with verbatim quotes, and a written summary, emailed when it's ready.
Here is the same journey, start to finish. Illustrative.

Summary of 100 respondents
City professionals would pay for same-day delivery; price-sensitive small-town shoppers mostly would not.
Willingness rises with time pressure more than income. Night-shift workers and small business owners are the strongest yes; retirees plan ahead and see little value.

Works nights at a regional hospital and shops almost entirely online. Careful with money, but pays for convenience when it saves sleep. Has never heard the term “same-day fee” but notices when delivery costs change.

Why not just ask a chatbot?
A chatbot gives you one answer in one voice. HumanPanel builds up to 100 distinct people, weighted to the population you describe and spread across worlds, and has each one answer with a reason. You see where opinion leans, where segments disagree and why, instead of a single averaged reply.

FAQ
Questions, answered
What is a synthetic survey panel?
+
A synthetic survey panel is a group of AI-simulated respondents that answer a survey the way people with specific backgrounds plausibly would. HumanPanel builds up to 100 of them for each run, spread across population segments you describe, and each one explains their answer in their own words.
How accurate are simulated respondents?
+
Simulated respondents are directional: they show which way opinion is likely to lean and where segments differ, not a measurement of real opinion. They are useful for spotting likely reactions, differences between segments and confusing questions quickly and cheaply. They can reflect biases of the underlying AI models, so validate important decisions with real respondents. Every HumanPanel summary includes these caveats.
How long does a survey run take?
+
The first answers usually appear within seconds, and you can watch respondents join and answer live. Small panels typically finish in minutes; larger panels take longer. HumanPanel emails you when the results are ready.
How do I get started with HumanPanel?
+
Sign up for free with just your email address: no password and no credit card needed. You can write your first survey right away, describe who should answer it, and start a run when you're ready.
How much does it cost?
+
Signing up and writing surveys is free. A completed run costs $29, whatever its size, paid from a prepaid wallet you top up by card. If a run fails, nothing is charged.
What kinds of questions can I ask?
+
Up to 10 questions per survey, in five types: single choice, multiple choice (with an optional maximum), yes/no, true/false and free text. Free-text answers are summarized into themes with verbatim quotes.
Can I choose who answers my survey?
+
Yes. You describe the target population, for example "working adults in United States across income levels", and choose how many respondents (up to 100) and how many worlds (1 to 8). HumanPanel designs segments within that population and reports results for each one.
Are my surveys used to train AI models?
+
No. HumanPanel does not use your surveys or results to train AI models, and does not sell your data. Survey content is sent to AI model providers only to generate your run.
Can this replace real survey research?
+
No. HumanPanel is for piloting and exploring: testing wording, comparing ideas and forming hypotheses before you spend on fieldwork. For decisions that matter, confirm what you learn with real people.
